Robert Pattinson’s rep denies rumors that he’s single

Robert Pattinson is a lot of things. Single may or may not be one of them.

On August 19, UK’s the Daily Mirror published a story that contained a fabricated interview with Pattinson. The story claimed that the young star had stated he had no girlfriend:

“I don’t have a girlfriend. I don’t know why. You always think you’re going to get more girls after you’re made a movie star and it never happens.”

The story ended up spawning an array of news headlines claiming that Pattinson and his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart, had ended their rumored relationship (neither party has confirmed nor denied a possible romance at this time), that Pattinson was only interested in dating models, and that the actor thinks fellow actresses in LA are nuts.

Within 24 hours, however, Pattinson’s rep put a silence to all the rumors:

“I will only comment on matters regarding Robert’s professional life, but in order to set the record straight, Robert did not speak to the Mirror, and their claim that they spoke to him a few days ago is manufactured along with any information that they claim to have as an exclusive directly from him.”

Whether he’s single or not, Pattinson is doing the best he can to maintain some degree of privacy in the middle of the Hollywood spotlights.
