Angelina Jolie in talks to replace Charlize Theron in action-adventure film, ‘The Tourist’

It’s a game of Oscar-winner musical chairs for an upcoming cat-and-mouse thriller.
Angelina Jolie is reportedly in talks to replace Charlize Theron in “The Tourist,” sources told Riskybusinessblog.com.
The movie, which is tentatively set to begin production in early 2010, is part action-adventure, part sexy-seduction. This is something Jolie knows all too well.

Jolie, 34, has carved an acclaimed career out of exactly that sort of combination with roles in action-packed films such as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “Wanted” and the upcoming “Salt.”
Sam Worthington, hot off “Terminator: Salvation” and “Avatar,” is said to be on board in the male lead.
The movie, a remake of the 2005 French thriller “Anthony Zimmer,” follows an American tourist who goes undercover to trap a former lover who’s a suspected international criminal.
“The Tourist” is also in search of a new director. Bharat Nalluri, who called the shots on “Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day,” has reportedly left the project.
